Adorable reddish brown pure cocker spaniel, male neutered, approx. one and a half
years old. He is housebroken, approx. 35 lbs., excellent with everyone and LOVES kids, kids over 10 may be best. He is very playful, active at times, and can be mellow also but loves activity and therefore needs a REAL fenced in yard to run and play in. He is fine with most other dogs and may also be fine with a female spayed dog that likes dogs too.
He loves company and being with people and will be happiest and best in a home with someone around often if possible.
He is a real sweetheart and in urgent need of a loving, forever right matched home.

| RANGER AND LUCKY NEED A HOME - MUST STAY TOGETHER
Ranger is a handsome yellow lab with soft eyes and Lucky is a very handsome german shepherd with expressive eyes -- they are both mushes. and they love each other alot. they are so good, so sweet and they act as if they are joined at the hip, They are calm, mellow, very good with cats, they like to go for walks and are very easy to walk -- no pulling or chasing after other animals -- they like being with people, lying next to you to watch tv, they are enjoyable and deserve all the love they can get, they are approx. 8 - 9 years old, approx. 60 lbs., run and play together still and in great health. Their owner went into a nursing home and they have no one. They are hoping and praying someone wants to love them and as a pair of course.

URGENT - ALLIE - YELLOW LAB FEMALE MIX NEEDS NEW HOME
My wife recently left me and left her two dogs behind. I was able to place one through the CT Humane Society where she was adopted from.They are unable to take the second who was not adopted there due to a backlog of animals.I am not home enough to care for Allie and it is unfair to her to be alone almost the entire day. She is a yellow lab mix, although I do not know what she is mixed with.She is friendly and good with children. She can be jumpy and had dug holes in the yard in the past. She loves to play fetch, either with a ball or frisbee, which she can catch in the air, and tug of war.I am running out of options and would rather not have to put her in a kennel that will kill her. She is only 3 years old and I have the veterinary papers. She is fixed. I just want her to find a loving home that will return the love she has to give. I did attempt to place her but she fought with another dog in the household after that dog bit her. She would be best in a one dog home. I have attached photos of her. I'm Riley, and I guess I'm probably the saddest case this year, although I feel pretty happy these days! Christy Dotson, OH DDB rep, says I'm a wonderful dog and if you met me, you would be so thrilled for all that DDB is doing to help me out. I want nothing more than to sit between your legs and have you pet me for as long as you are willing! I had Retina PRA which is a hereditary disease and I have been 100% blind since about 6 months old. The truly sad part is that I lived this way chained for the past 4 years, with no human interaction...how scary and lonely it was for me. The Ophthalmologist said that removal of the cataracts would not restore my sight. Further, I had the beginnings to intermediate stages of Uveitis, Glaucoma and Lens Luxation. My eyes caused me a great deal of pain. The Ophthalmologist told us that the best course of action for me was to have my eyes removed and artificial eyes placed in the eye sockets. The surgery was done 11/14/07 and cost $1750 total plus bloodwork. DDB and some wonderful people already contributed over $1000, but there is still quite a lot remaining to be paid. (Please think good thoughts for Riley. Don't forget, he needs a forever home. This may be tough since he is blind. He weighs 55 pounds and gets along great with other dogs and cats. He does not jump on people, instead, he sits. Sitting for petting is his favorite thing to do. He does not pull on the leash either, because he cannot see where he is going....so follows his person or tries to walk right beside them.) | 2/2/08 GIA NEEDS A HOME ASAP Beautiful, mellow, brownish coloring, very pretty female spayed, 3 years old, 50 lbs., shiny and golden coat, EXCELLENT WITH EVERYONE, INCLUDING ALL OTHER DOGS AND CATS. She is a sweetheart, very mellow, and gentle. She loves people, getting attention and has alot of love to give back. Gia has a wonderful temperament and is a very loving and special dog. She may need a little time and patience to adjust to a new home and new people. She would be fine with another mellow dog to share her new life with.Unfortunately, her owners are having hard times and moving to a place that does NOT take pets. Poor Gia has only ONE MORE WEEK.
